Click Fraud is a malicious clicking action typically used to generate unearned revenue from ad clicks, this may be to benefit the first party, who own the ad space and thus generates revenue from fraudulent clicks. Click fraud may also be perpetrated by a malicious competitor, to lower value of the victim competitor’s ads and thus hurt their ad credibility.
