What is Quarantine in Cybersecurity | Definition and Meaning

In Cybersecurity, quarantining is a security measure used to isolate a computer or network from the rest of the network in order to limit the spread of a virus or other malicious software. It will typically contain a mechanism for an adminsitrator to recover the files from the quarantine folder in the event of a false positive. Quarantines may also employ file cleaning such as by removing malicious links and payloads.
